Buying tickets

Where are my tickets? I have not received them
Your tickets are emailed to the address you used at checkout, usually within a minute or two. If they have not arrived, check your spam folder first. You can also see everything you have booked at /tickets — sign in with the same email address and they will be there, whether or not the email arrived.
How do I sign in? I do not have a password
There are no passwords. Enter your email address and we send you a link that signs you in. The link is single use and expires, so if it has been sitting in your inbox a while, just request a new one.
Can I get a refund?
Refund policy is set by the organiser, not by us, and it is shown on every event page under "Refunds". If the event is refundable, contact the organiser through the link on your order and they can refund you. When a refund is issued it includes the booking fee, goes back to the card you paid with, and usually takes five to ten working days to appear depending on your bank. If an event is cancelled you are refunded in full without having to ask.
Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?
Yes. Open your ticket email and use the transfer link — the ticket moves to their email address and your copy stops working, so there is no risk of two people turning up with the same ticket. This works even for events marked non-refundable. If you cannot go, transferring is usually the answer.
The event is sold out. Can I join a waitlist?
If the organiser has enabled a waitlist, you will see the option on the event page instead of the ticket selector. When a place comes free we email the next person on the list and hold it for them for a limited time. If they do not take it, it passes to the person after them. Being on the list is not a guarantee — it is a queue.
Why are you asking for my phone number and address?
Because the organiser asked for them. What is requested at checkout is set per event by whoever is running it — some need a phone number in case something changes on the day, some need an address, most ask for nothing beyond a name. Only the organiser and their door staff see those answers.
Why can I see this event but not buy a ticket?
It is invite only. The organiser has a guest list, and to buy you need to be signed in with an address they invited. The link can be forwarded but the purchase cannot, so if a friend sent it to you, you will need the organiser to add you. There is a "Request to attend" form on the event page that goes straight to them.

Running events

Who pays the booking fee?
Your choice, per event. Add it to the ticket price so the buyer pays it, or absorb it and take home less. Most organisers pass it on. Whichever you choose, the fee is fixed onto each order when it is placed and never recalculated afterwards — so a rate change later cannot alter what an existing order was charged.
When do I get paid?
Three working days after each event, into your own Stripe account. Money is held until then because refunds before an event are our problem rather than yours. You are never asked for bank details here — Stripe collects those on their own hosted pages and we never see them.
Do free events cost anything?
No. Free tickets carry no commission and no per-ticket fee, on any plan. You also do not need a Stripe account to run a free event — you can publish and take bookings without connecting anything.
What is the difference between unlisted and invite only?
Unlisted means the event is not on the homepage or in search, but anyone with the link can buy — including anyone they forward it to. Good for a soft launch or a mailing list. Invite only means you add email addresses, and buying requires being signed in as one of them. The event is still listed publicly and marked invite only, but the venue is hidden from anyone not invited. If your only goal is keeping something off the homepage, choose unlisted — invite only adds a sign-in step for every guest.
Will a plan limit stop me selling tickets?
No. Plan limits affect how many events you can publish, never how many tickets you can sell. A sale in progress is never blocked by a limit. If you have hit one, you will be told when you try to publish, not when a customer tries to buy.
How do I check people in on the day?
Use the Door list in your dashboard. It works on a phone, shows every valid ticket, and marks each one as checked in so the same ticket cannot be used twice. Attendee answers the organiser asked for appear alongside each name, so the person on the door has what they need without a separate list.
Can I sell in euros or dollars, in a currency other than pounds?
Yes. Each event has its own currency, set when you create it and fixed from then on. Buyers are charged in the event's currency. Payouts arrive in whatever your Stripe account is configured for.
